Crossword Genius

Looks round at shapely legs (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

ogles

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'looks' is the definition.
(ogling is a kind of looking)

'round at shapely legs' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'round' could be 'o' (round can mean a round object) and 'o' is located in the answer.
an anagram of 'legs' is 'gles' which is present in the answer.
No letters remain.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for ogles that I've seen before include "Looks at amorously, makes eyes at" , "Looks at (someone) lecherously" , "Casts amorous glances" , "Looks longingly at" , "Leers" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
