Reed interrupts one of The Adverts audibly (5)
I believe the answer is:
aloud
'audibly' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'reed interrupts one of the adverts' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'one' could be 'a' (a thing is one thing) and 'a' is present in the answer.
'of' could be 'o' and 'o' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lud' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for aloud that I've seen before include "So as to be heard" , "In an audible voice" , "Take part in, link" , "Audibly" , "At some volume" .)
