Tiny map perhaps – it covers three points (5)
I believe the answer is:
inset
'tiny map' is the definition.
'inset' can be an answer for 'map' (I have seen 'Smaller map ' mean 'inset' so perhaps 'map' could also mean 'inset'). I am not certain of the 'tiny' bit.
'it covers three points' is the wordplay.
'covers' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'three points' becomes 'NSE'.
'it' placed around 'nse' is 'INSET'.
'perhaps' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for inset that I've seen before include "day for teachers" , "Small piece inserted" , "Small picture inserted within a larger one" , "Stein (anag)" , "Small picture within a large one" .)
