'catch' becomes 'net' (netting is a kind of catching).
'linked to' means one lot of letters go next to another.
'name' becomes 'dub'.
'dub'+'on'='dubon'
'net' after 'dubon' is 'DUBONNET'.

(Another definition for dubonnet that I've seen is " Tub on end (anag) - aperitif".)
