(I've seen this in another clue)
'woman?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'woman?' could be 'w' (abbreviation eg in Woman Police Constable) and 'w' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'itch' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
