Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?

I cannot quite see how this works, but
'vehicle' could be 'van' (type of vehicle) and 'van' is present in the answer.
an anagram of 'english' is 'helsing' which is present in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
