Ross

I believe the answer is:

niche

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'little corner' is the definition.
'niche' can be an answer for 'corner' (I've seen this before). I am unsure of the 'little' bit.

'hospital in pleasant' is the wordplay.
'hospital' becomes 'h'.
'in' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'pleasant' becomes 'nice' ('nice' is associated in meaning with 'pleasant').
'h' put inside 'nice' is 'NICHE'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for niche that I've seen before include "Recess; comfy corner" , "Suitable position (in market, life etc)" , "good spot!" , "Suitable spot" , "Recess - alcove" .)

I've seen this clue in The Independent.
