Make paper money! (7)
I believe the answer is:
realise
'make' is the definition.
(realise can mean to create or carry out)
'paper money' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'paper' could be 'i' (UK newspaper) and 'i' is found in the answer.
'money' could be 'l' (L can mean 'pounds') and 'l' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for realise that I've seen before include "Be fully aware of or convert plan into fact" , "appreciate" , "Become aware of; fulfil (S, not Z)" , "make a profit" , "Bring to fruition" .)
