Crossword Genius

Salaried position with stamps provided (4-4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

post-paid

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'stamps provided' is the definition.
I can't tell whether this defines the answer.

'salaried position' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'salaried' could be 'paid' (similar in meaning) and 'paid' is found in the answer.
'position' could be 'post' (post is a kind of position) and 'post' is found in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'with' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Another definition for post-paid that I've seen is " (Of mail) charged for in advance".)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
