Ross

I believe the answer is:

airline

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'travel company' is the definition.
(company working in air travel)

'hotel ditched by very fine' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'fine' could be 'ai' (resembles A1, informal term for top quality) and 'ai' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for airline that I've seen before include "BA, say" , "Qantas, for example" , "Company providing scheduled flights" , "Transport business" , "Business taking off" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
