Crossword Genius

Sent out with European youngsters (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

teens

'youngsters' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'sent out with european' is the wordplay.
'out with' is an anagram indicator (out can mean wrong or inaccurate).
'european' becomes 'E' (abbreviation e.g. EU).
'sent' with its letters anagrammed with 'e' makes 'TEENS'.

(Other definitions for teens that I've seen before include "Adolescent years" , "children" , "Between 12 and 20" , "The years 13 to 19" , "13-19 age group" .)

I've seen this clue in The Mirror.
