I believe the answer is:

pin table

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This clue might be a double definition.

'a mere' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how they can define each other.

'bagatelle that seems somehow drinkable' is the second definition.
The answer and definition can be both man-made objects as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for pin table that I've seen before include "Game with balls on a sloping surface" , "play bagatelle here" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
