Ross

I believe the answer is:

salome

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'appealing dancer' is the definition.
'salome' can be an answer for 'dancer' (I've seen this before). I am not certain of the 'appealing' bit.

'aroused males inspiring love' is the wordplay.
'aroused' indicates an anagram (letters roused or stirred up into a new form).
'inspiring' indicates putting letters inside.
'love' becomes 'o' (love means zero in tennis).
'males' with letters rearranged gives 'salme'.
'salme' going around 'o' is 'SALOME'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for salome that I've seen before include "She danced with seven veils for the Baptist's head" , "Herod's niece in Wilde play" , "revealing play" , "She danced for the head of John the Baptist" , "She demanded head of John the Baptist" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
