I believe the answer is:

assault course

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'method that's used to train soldiers' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I can't tell whether it can be defined by this definition.

'attack' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'attack' could be 'assault' (synonyms) and 'assault' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'course' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for assault course that I've seen before include "Soldier training circuit" , "training ground" , "for cadets in training?" , "Training aid" , "physical test" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
