'suave' can be an answer for 'urbane' (I've seen this before). I'm unsure of the 'charmingly' bit.
'upstart save for clothes' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'upstart' could be 'u' (start of the word 'up') and 'u' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'save' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
