Crossword Genius

Dance with two beers? (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

cancan

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'dance' is the definition.
(cancan is a kind of dance)

'two beers?' is the wordplay.
'two' says to double the letters.
'beers?' becomes 'can' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'can' duplicated is 'CANCAN'.

'with' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for cancan that I've seen before include "from 23a [LA VIE PARISIENNE]?" , "Lively French stage dance" , "Lively French dance, doubly permissive" , "Paris music hall dance" , "Lively Parisian dance" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
