I believe the answer is:

proscribe

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'denounce piece' is the definition.
'proscribe' can be an answer for 'denounce' (I've seen this before). I am unsure of the 'piece' bit.

'writing that employs plagiarism' is the wordplay.
'writing' becomes 'prose' (ordinary writing as opposed to poetry).
'that employs' indicates putting letters inside.
'plagiarism' becomes 'crib' (crib can mean to copy from another source).
'prose' placed around 'crib' is 'PROSCRIBE'.

'of' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for proscribe that I've seen before include "Denounce" , "Exile" , "Prohibit" , "Forbid; condemn" , "Ban" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
