Crossword Genius

Drink that a party's raised (4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

soda

'drink' is the definition.
(I know that soda is a type of non-alcoholic beverage)

'a party's raised' is the wordplay.
'party's' becomes 'do's' (do can informally mean a party).
'raised' says the letters should be written in reverse (going up in a down clue).
'a'+'dos'='ados'
'ados' backwards is 'SODA'.

'that' is the link.

(Other definitions for soda that I've seen before include "Fizzy drink - chemical compound" , "Fizzy water, goes well with whiskey" , "Soft drink" , "pressurised liquid" , "Drink containing carbonated water and sometimes flavouring" .)

I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
