take it the wrong way
'fail to' is the definition.
I don't know anything about this answer so I can't judge whether this works.
'lift?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'lift?' could be 'take' (lifting is a kind of taking) and 'take' is found within the answer.
