Crossword Genius

Feature of Bond films somehow tagged "really vacuous" (8)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

gadgetry

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'feature of bond films' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'somehow tagged really vacuous' is the wordplay.
'somehow' is an anagram indicator.
'vacuous' says to hollow out the word (remove centre letters).
'really' with its centre taken out is 'ry'.
'tagged' anagrammed gives 'gadget'.
'gadget'+'ry'='GADGETRY'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for gadgetry that I've seen before include "The making of small ingenious devices" , "gismos" , "Small ingenious devices in general" , "Mechanical tools" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
