death-blow

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'finish draught for decisive' is the definition.
I don't know anything about this answer so I cannot tell whether it can be defined by this definition.

'ending' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'ending' could be 'death' (death is a kind of ending) and 'death' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'blow' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
