Crossword Genius

Fisherman's dance? (4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

reel

This clue might be a double definition.

'fisherman's' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'dance?' is the second definition.
(reel is a kind of dance)

(Other definitions for reel that I've seen before include "Dance - swim" , "Highland dance" , "Dance; feel giddy" , "Stagger with rod winder" , "Lurch; spool" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail and the Evening Standard.
