Although both the answer and definition are plural nouns, I cannot understand how one could define the other.
'with pressure to open' is the wordplay.
'with' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'pressure' becomes 'p' (abbreviation).
'to open' becomes 'lums' (I am not sure about this - if you are sure you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'p' next to 'lums' is 'PLUMS'.
