Ross

I think it could be either:

Which length description are you looking for?:

7

8

innings

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This clue might be a double definition.

'games' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are plural nouns, I can't understand how they can define each other.

'period' is the second definition.
(I have seen 'Period of cricket' mean 'innings' so perhaps 'period' could also mean 'innings')

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for innings that I've seen before include "Time at the crease - a good one's a long life" , "Turns for the batsman" , "(At cricket) a turn to bat" , "time in office" , "Batsman's spell at wicket" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail and The Irish Independent.
