Crossword Genius

Has he an enviable figure? (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

oscar

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'an enviable figure?' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both related to communication as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?

'has he' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'he' could be 'car' and 'car' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'os' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for oscar that I've seen before include "-- Wilde, author" , "The familiar Mr Wilde, playwright" , "Cinema award" , "Title of Hollywood Academy award" , "Boy" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
