I know nothing about this answer so I cannot tell whether it can be defined by this definition.
'recover?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'recover?' could be 'getover' (I've seen this before) and 'getover' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'it' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
