Incessant advice not to be such a bore (8)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

tireless

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'incessant' is the definition.
Both the definition and answer are adjectives. Maybe there's a link between them I don't understand?

'advice not to be such a bore' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'not' could be 'less' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'less' is located in the answer.
'bore' could be 'tire' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'tire' is found within the answer.
No letters remain.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for tireless that I've seen before include "Having great energy" , "Never grows weary, inexhaustible" , "Having inexhaustible energy" , "Never wearying" , "Full of energy" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
