London skyscraper in quiet area by road (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

shard

'london skyscraper' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'quiet area by road' is the wordplay.
'quiet' becomes 'sh' (both can be said to tell someone to be quiet).
'area' becomes 'a' (maths abbreviation).
'by' means one lot of letters go next to another.
'road' becomes 'rd' (abbreviation).
'sh'+'a'+'rd'='SHARD'

'in' is the link.

(Other definitions for shard that I've seen before include "Go well with; attire" , "chip" , "Sharp piece of glass" , "archaeological find" , "construction in London" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
