I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'minor details' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'coastal area on time' is the wordplay.
'coastal' becomes 'rivi' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'area' becomes 'a' (maths abbreviation).
'on' means one lot of letters go next to another.
'time' becomes 't'.
'rivi'+'a'='rivia'
'rivia' put after 't' is 'TRIVIA'.

'of queen leaving' is the link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may belong to another bit of the clue.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for trivia that I've seen before include "Unimportant things, items of little value" , "Non-essential data" , "Petty details" , "Unimportant or valueless things" , "Unimportant things, minor matters" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
