'recent arrival' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I cannot tell whether it can be defined by this definition.

'november disrupted brown abbey' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'november' could be 'n' (phonetic alphabet: alpha, bravo, charlie etc.) and 'n' is present in the answer.
an anagram of 'brown' is 'wborn' which is within the answer.
an anagram of 'abbey' is 'ebaby' which is located in the remaining letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'in' is the link.
