I believe the answer is:

(I've seen this in another clue)
'reports not pursued' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'not' could be 'un' (prefix meaning 'not') and 'un' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'chaste' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
