Crossword Genius

Routine at the sink? (3,5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

tap dance

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This might be a double definition.

'routine' is the first definition.
The definition and answer can be both acts as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?

'the sink?' is the second definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how they can define each other.

'at' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for tap dance that I've seen before include "Steel-toecapped entertainment" , "moving performance" , "Move rhythmically (for joy?) wearing special shoes" , "Noisy entertainment" , "Rhythmical entertainment" .)

I've seen this clue in The Mirror.
