Simplistic account saved in folder (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

facile

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'simplistic' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'account saved in folder' is the wordplay.
'account' becomes 'ac' (abbreviation for account).
'saved' means one lot of letters goes inside another (save can mean to keep hold of).
'in folder' becomes 'file' (file folder is a kind of folder. I am not sure about the 'in' bit.).
'ac' placed inside 'file' is 'FACILE'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for facile that I've seen before include "Easy but glib" , "Arrived at without due care or effort" , "Superficial - glib" , "Easily achieved but of little value" , "Smooth" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
