Crossword Genius

Size of paper needed to hold two pints - nothing more (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

quarto

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'size of paper' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'two pints nothing more' is the wordplay.
'two pints' becomes 'quart' (unit of liquid equal to two pints).
'nothing' becomes 'o' (looks like zero - 0).
'more' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other) (some letters added to the previous ones).
'quart'+'o'='QUARTO'

'needed to hold' acts as a link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may belong to another bit of the clue.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for quarto that I've seen before include "Ten-by-eight inch paper" , "Publishing term, four leaves are formed from one sheet" , "Book size resulting in folding one sheet four times" , "Twice-folded paper size" , "Book page size" .)

I've seen this clue in The Irish News.
