Strong and healthy, despite being boiled up in a bed (4-6)
I believe the answer is:
able-bodied
'strong and healthy' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'being boiled up in a bed' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
an anagram of 'boiled' is 'lebodi' which is within the answer.
'a' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'bed' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'despite' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for able-bodied that I've seen before include "Physically strong and healthy" , "Not physically unfit" .)
