Crossword Genius

Take her back, have some food and warm up again (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

reheat

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'warm up again' is the definition.
(to heat or warm up again)

'take her back have some food' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'take' could be 'eat' (eating is a kind of taking) and 'eat' is present in the answer.
an anagram of 'her' is 'reh' which is present in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'and' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for reheat that I've seen before include "Warm (food) up again" , "Bring back to the boil, for instance" , "Method of getting extra power from jet engine" , "Process increasing jet engine thrust" , "Of cooked food, give another go in the microwave" .)

I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
