Crossword Genius

Theme park reportedly doesn't go down in Scotland? (10)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

disneyland

'theme park' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'down in scotland?' is the wordplay.
'down in' becomes 'disney' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'scotland?' becomes 'land' (scotland is a kind of land).
'disney'+'land'='DISNEYLAND'

'reportedly doesn't go' acts as a link.
This may not be right. Some or all of it may be part of another bit of the clue.

(Other definitions for disneyland that I've seen before include "it could be amusing!" , "theme park" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
