Crossword Genius

Thus raised concern about untrained playwright (5,5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

oscar wilde

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'playwright' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'thus raised concern about untrained' is the wordplay.
'thus' becomes 'so' (synonyms).
'raised' says the letters should be written in reverse (going up in a down clue).
'concern' becomes 'care' (synonyms).
'about' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'untrained' becomes 'wild' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'so' reversed gives 'os'.
'care' enclosing 'wild' is 'carwilde'.
'os'+'carwilde'='OSCAR WILDE'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for oscar wilde that I've seen before include "Irish writer and wit" , "dramatist" , "playwright" , "Irish-born writer and wit (1854-1900)" , "He had nothing to declare but his genius" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
