Crossword Genius

Toronto crew moved around Lima airport building (7,5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

control tower

'airport building' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'toronto crew moved around lima' is the wordplay.
'moved' indicates anagramming the letters.
'around' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'lima' becomes 'L' (phonetic alphabet: alpha, bravo, charlie etc.).
'toronto'+'crew'='torontocrew'
'torontocrew' anagrammed gives 'controtower'.
'controtower' placed around 'l' is 'CONTROL TOWER'.

(Other definitions for control tower that I've seen before include "Airport's command centre" , "Airport building" , "Airport command point" , "where landing can be supervised" , "Airport command hub" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
