Crossword Genius

Way to get all-inclusive meals (12)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

thoroughfare

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'way' is the definition.
(I know that thoroughfare is a type of way)

'get all-inclusive meals' is the wordplay.
'get' says to put letters next to each other.
'all inclusive' becomes 'thorough' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'meals' becomes 'fare'.
'thorough' put next to 'fare' is 'THOROUGHFARE'.

'to' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for thoroughfare that I've seen before include "Road or path" , "Public way or street" , "highway" , "Access - road" , "Main road" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
