Crossword Genius

Where most are bent on entering? (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

prison

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'entering?' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't understand how one could define the other.

'where most are bent on' is the wordplay.
'where most are bent' becomes 'pris' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'pris'+'on'='PRISON'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for prison that I've seen before include "Wormwood Scrubs, for example" , "Slammer" , "Gaol" , "No rips (anag)" , "Correctional institution" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph and The Irish News.
