Where to soak that plastic infant swallows (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

bathtub

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'where to soak' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'that plastic infant swallows' is the wordplay.
'plastic' indicates anagramming the letters (plastic can mean easily moulded).
'infant' becomes 'bub' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'swallows' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'that' is an anagram of 'atht'.
'atht' placed within 'bub' is 'BATHTUB'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for bathtub that I've seen before include "Container for the body during ablutions" , "that may need a plug" , "Vessel for ablutions" , "place to immerse the body" , "Film made by soap" .)

I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
