(I've seen this in another clue)

'writer married to italian poet and philosopher endlessly' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'writer' could be 'pen' (something which writes) and 'pen' is located in the answer.
an anagram of 'and' is 'dan' which is located in the answer.
A single letter 't' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
