I believe the answer is:

strand

'beach' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'redhead's seated in market booth' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'redhead' could be 'r' (the head/first letter of 'red') and 'r' is found within the answer.
'booth' could be 'stand' and 'stand' is found within the remaining letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).

'where' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for strand that I've seen before include "Drive aground on shore" , "Ply" , "Maroon - thread" , "Old magazine" , "Leave high and dry" .)

I've seen this clue in The Hindu.
