Europeans excluded - they're quite different (5,5)
I believe the answer is:
poles apart
'quite different' is the definition.
'poles apart' can be an answer for 'different' (thesaurus). I'm unsure of the 'quite' bit.
'europeans excluded' is the wordplay.
'europeans' becomes 'Poles' (Pole is an example).
'excluded' becomes 'apart' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'poles'+'apart'='POLES APART'
'they're' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for poles apart that I've seen before include "Differing greatly" , "Incompatible" , "Goalposts are" , "Completely different" , "some Europeans?" .)
