Find and take right back with one (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

trace

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'find' is the definition.
(I know that trace is a more specific form of the action find)

'right back with one' is the wordplay.
'right' becomes 'rt' (abbreviation as in Rt Hon- the Right Honourable).
'back' shows that the letters should be reversed in order.
'with' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'one' becomes 'ace' (ace has a value of one in some card games).
'rt' backwards is 'tr'.
'tr'+'ace'='TRACE'

'and take' acts as a link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may be part of another bit of the clue.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for trace that I've seen before include "Skimpy garment" , "a little bit" , "Suggestion of rain" , "Discover - modicum" , "Scarcely detectable amount" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
