Group moving sarsens to Avebury? (7,6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

rolling stones

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'group' is the definition.
(English rock band)

'moving sarsens to avebury?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'moving' could be 'rolling' (rolling is a kind of moving) and 'rolling' is found within the answer.
'to' is within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for rolling stones that I've seen before include "Old rockers" , "Revolving pebbles" , "Group (without moss?)" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
