I believe the answer is:

my learned friend

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'attention of person in court' is the definition.
I don't know anything about this answer so I cannot tell whether this works.

'knowledgeable associate' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'knowledgeable' could be 'learned' (synonyms) and 'learned' is located in the answer.
'associate' could be 'friend' (friend is a kind of associate) and 'friend' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'my' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'gets' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for my learned friend that I've seen before include "barman referred to?" , "Fellow counsel" .)

I've seen this clue in The Irish Times.
