Ross

I believe the answer is:

impressionable

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'naive' is the definition.
Both the definition and answer are adjectives. Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?

'girl enmeshed by the setter's importuning bolted from time to time' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'girl' could be 'iona' and 'iona' is found within the answer.
'setter's' could be 'im' (referring to the person who set the crossword) and 'im' is found in the answer.
'from' could be 'e' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'e' is present in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for impressionable that I've seen before include "open to influence" , "Easily influenced" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
