I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'between three and six' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I cannot tell whether it can be defined by this definition.

'not many' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'not' could be 'o' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'o' is found in the answer.
'many' could be 'five' (example) and 'five' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'furor' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
